What to expect when you see us

At your initial consultation with Balance Osteopathy, we will ask about the history of the problem you have been experiencing and your general health history. This is to better understand your issue in the context of your individual health and function.

We want to know about your current daily activities, and what you would like to return to. We will take you through a movement screen, focussing on functional tasks, activities or sports you engage in, followed by table based assessment.

We aim to understand how your body operates within tasks in a way that may be causing symptoms for you. Then we can reduce discomfort working locally with gentle hands on techniques, and by improving your body’s ‘chain of biomechanics’ with assisted movement techniques.
