Alison Wright – Nutritional Practitioner
Originally from Leeds, England, Alison comes to Balance Osteopathy with a background in corporate management and unhealthy lifestyles. After thriving on the stress of working for newspapers in a highly pressurised environment for many years, the thrill of the daily deadline started to lose its lustre. A developing interest in health and wellbeing turned into a whole new career when Alison decided to study nutritional medicine.
Now a qualified nutritional practitioner, Alison is passionate about helping her clients change their habits and learn how to eat well. Equipped with the knowledge on how eating the right foods can provide the nutrients required to properly nourish the body, prevent disease, boost energy and help you feel the best you possibly can, Alison is enthusiastic about helping her clients reach their health goals and improve their overall wellbeing. All her nutritional plans are tailored to each client’s uniquely, individual needs.
Alison also works delivering nutritional seminars and corporate health and wellbeing programs, as well as being a volunteer facilitator for the SecondBite Foodmate program which helps people to improve their food access, nutritional knowledge and cooking skills in order to create long term food independence. Her spare time is spent immersed in books, running, yoga, supporting Sunderland AFC and spending time with friends, family and slightly neurotic dog, Chilli.
